Kershaw Cryo Review

When I saw the Nutnfancy review on the Kershaw Cryo I thought, "that knife looks pretty cool, that is something that I will buy."  I thought that for $30 it would be hard to go wrong.

Here is Nutnfancy's Review

My Kershaw Cryo came in the mail today and I have to say that I am a bit disappointed.  It is heavier and smaller than I thought it would be.  It is an assisted opening blade, Nutnfancy really liked the speed of the assisted opening on the Cryo.  I was expecting the speed to be more impressive than it is, at least on my knife.

It is now September 25, 2012 and I gave the Kershaw Cryo to my friend that just got married because every man should carry a knife all the time because you never know when you will need it.

UPDATE:MAY 20, 2013  Now that I own another Kershaw/Hindrer collaboration I want to give the Cryo another chance.  I really like flipper designs now.

UPDATE #2:  August 11, 2013. I am probably going to buy another Cryo, soon.  I think my expectations were too high.  It is a great knife, especially for the price.

Knife Carry

If you know me then you know that I love knives.  When I was 13 years old the first real knife that my Dad gave me was a Gerber EZ-Out that I carried with me on my paper route until I was 17 years old.

I carried a Gerber lock back until I bought a Benchmade Mini Griptilian when I was 19 years old.  Now the knives that I carry the most are either a Spyderco Delica or a Benchmade 710.

I think it is time for me to buy a new knife and I think this one will be the next one.  Stay tuned for my update and review.
